The Office of Information Technology provides a full range of enterprise technologies to support the citizens of Maine. This is an exciting position for a qualified individual who has demonstrated experience and has a successful track record in providing support and administration of Microsoft 365 services and Windows Server Operating Systems. What you will do in this position: You will help manage and administer Enterprise Document Management environment, Active Directory, and File System Management and Microsoft 365 as an active contributor to the team. You will work on a team handling request and participate in professional communications as a team player who demonstrates excellent collaboration skills. You will also have the opportunity to participate in other areas within our group. The position will provide support for the Office of Information Technology and all customers we support. The position performs a full range of system administration functions to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency within Computing Infrastructure Services. The Team within the Office of Information Technology offers professional and technical hosting and enterprise services to agencies. The Team resides within the Computing Infrastructure & Services Group, which supports a wide range of applications utilizing Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft InTune, Directory Services, Enterprise Backup and Storage, SQL Server, IIS, SharePoint, and other COTS products. Work is performed under supervision. This position is in Augusta. The CIS Group requires 24x7 server support. This requires the position to be on-call in a rotation format. What is in it for you? You will be expected to manage your work at a technical level with supervision.
  • Administer and manage a document management system.
  • Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of a variety of Windows Servers and software related infrastructure.
  • Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of a new enterprise Document Management system (upgraded versions, third-party solutions, and integration with additional enterprise systems).
  • Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration (manage user's properties, manage user's multi factor authentication and user views)
  • Assist in the problem solving and handling of technical issues or inquiries.
  • Perform a full range of system administration functions to control systems and efficiency within Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Manage file storage permissions
  • Respond to help desk escalations
  • Assists with hardware and software upgrades
  • Implement, develop, support, build, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments within a VMWare environment or physical
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to support, administer and troubleshoot all products associated with the services you support.
  • Ability to communicate written and verbal with people having a variety of knowledge and expectations.

  • Ability to support software applications, system back-up and data security techniques.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU...
  • Experience with M365 in a corporate environment
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration, to include current Windows Server versions
  • Experience working to resolve problems or in implementing new solutions
  • Experience using a ticket management system for work prioritization and daily workload management
  • Experience with VMware
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting OneDrive
  • Experience to support, administer and troubleshoot Docuware and associated products associated
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Ability to develop and manage user-oriented computing activities
  • Ability to develop and coordinate training programs
  • Ability to work on multiple projects/activities simultaneously
  • Ability to work with DNS/DHCP and Infoblox

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 3 years of a combination of related post-secondary education, technical certifications, or technology related work experience. Related training, internship experience etc. may be credited as related experience on a month-per-month basis.
