Apply Now!In the position, you serve as a senior Information Technology (IT) Specialist Network Administrator with responsibility for managing the unclassified and classified Local Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) including the planning, analysis, acquisition, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, maintenance testing, operational integrity, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats over non-secure and secure communications.• Must be a U.S. Citizen• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.• A non-disclosure agreement must be signed• This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian DrugTesting Program and is subject to random drug testing• Knowledge of a full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.• Knowledge of the network architecture, interrelationships, operating modes, configuration, topology, and protocols typically found at base level.• Knowledge of network operating and maintenance concepts and methods to troubleshoot network problems.• Knowledge of complex configuration management techniques, and requirements appropriate to managing base level network systems.• Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of network problems; and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from an operational perspective.• Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements.Click the apply button to complete an application and upload resume (PDF or Word Doc) and/or additional documents (Transcripts, certifications, Vet Docs (DD214), SF-50).To receive additional information about current and future job openings with AFCS via email notification, please register at www.Afciviliancareers.com and sign up to “Get Career Updates.”AFCS is Equal Opportunity Employer.
