Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain and manage the office's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data protection measures.
- Manage software licensing, updates, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Technical Support:
- Provide hands-on technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Educate staff on technology best practices and new systems.
Network and Security Administration:
- Monitor network performance, ensuring reliability and security.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, antivirus solutions, and other security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and protect against potential threats.
Systems and Applications Oversight:
- Manage email systems, file servers, and any proprietary or third-party business applications.
- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of employees by configuring accounts, devices, and permissions.
- Support cloud-based solutions, including backups and collaboration tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or others.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT management, system administration, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Mac OS environments.
- Strong understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), VPNs, and IP configurations.
- Experience with server administration, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud solutions.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or CCNA.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and IT compliance standards.
