We are partnering with a leading client in the Banking and Finance sector to hire an Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in enterprise monitoring tools and automation. This is a key role responsible for engineering and supporting resilient, scalable monitoring solutions for the firm's infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Enterprise-class monitoring solutions for the firm's global infrastructure.
- Integrate vendor and open-source monitoring tools into Windows and Linux environments.
- Develop automation using Shell scripting and Python to reduce manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in the Agile development process to deliver robust solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and onboard new functionalities to the monitoring tools.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for enterprise monitoring tools.
- Manage vendor updates and test in lab environments, ensuring seamless integration into the firm's ecosystem.
Tools & Technologies:
- Solarwinds, Shell scripting, Python, Linux/Windows, Azure (nice to have), TCP/IP (basic networking understanding)
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and systems architecture.
- Hands-on experience with automation and scripting.
- Familiarity with SDLC best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, multitask, and drive innovation.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information:
- Team Size: 1 direct report based in Pittsburgh; other teams also located in Pittsburgh.
- Work Schedule: Potential weekend work once every few months; occasional after-hours updates required.
