ECLARO is looking for an Infrastructure Network Engineer for our client in Allentown, PA. ECLARO's client is a leading technology solutions provider, collaborating with customers to manage their needs and achieve success in their business goals. If you're up to the challenge, then take a chance at this rewarding opportunity!Position Overview: The Infrastructure / Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure, including application load balancing, host-based firewalls, and traditional networking equipment and services. The INE will need to be experienced in data-center networking as well as monitoring of production network infrastructure. The network hosts the SaaS application, Client Software, which receives traffic of over 80,000 users daily. The INE should have experience with virtualized networking as the infrastructure relies heavily on Linux-hosted networking services with minimal configuration on physical appliances. The Infrastructure / Network Engineer must be comfortable with On-prem infrastructure and will be expected to collaborate using GitOps principles and Agile methodologies such as code review and pair programming.Responsibilities: Network Maintenance - Including software / firmware updates and configuration changes on networking systems. Network Architecture - Document existing network and plan future sustainable network architecture. Load Balancing - Reverse engineer existing application load-balancing. Implement new improved load-balancing. Network Security - Follow best practices. Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities. Certificate Renewals and Deployment-Improve our Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) automation systems. Infrastructure Monitoring - Reverse engineer existing monitoring and implement new improved monitoring systems. Virtual Machine Lifecycle - Standardize, then automate our virtual machine deployments. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans as they apply to infrastructure system maintenance and usage.Required Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Computer Science, and five years of related work experience. Working knowledge of the following technologies: Data Center Networking - FortiGate, Juniper, Linux shorewall / iptables, VMware vSwitch Networking Services - DNS, djbdns, BGP, exabgp, VPN, OpenVPN, WireGuard, Cloudflare Zero Trust WARP Web Application Load Balancing - A10, Nginx, HAProxy PKI Certificates - OpenSSL, AD CS, DigiCert, LetsEncrypt, VMCA Monitoring / Alerting Tools - Nagios, Icinga, Prometheus, PagerDuty Documenting networks and infrastructure. Infrastructure Automation - Git, SSH, Rsync, Terraform, Ansible Scripting Languages and Small Codebases - Bash, Perl, Makefile Maintaining and Automating On-premises Virtualization n- VMware Configuring Linux Services - systemd Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks. Must be adaptable and able to perform under changing circumstances. Ability to work independently or in collaboration with all internal partners, both horizontally and vertically within the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with coworkers. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to conduct assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
