Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician

Location: On-site in Southeast Albany, NY Area

Position Brief:

The Chatham Group: Advanced Materials and Technologies Recruiting Firm is seeking qualified candidate for an Injection Molding Process Technician role for a client in the Packaging and Container Manufacturing industry. We are looking for someone with 4-6+ years of experience in manufacturing process control particularly with experience in injection molding technologies. A background in the 5 critical processing parameters of IM (pressure, time, temperature, hold, and backpressure) is essential. As far as educational background is concerned we are looking for an Associates or Technical Degree at minimum. A Bachelors Degree is nice but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote a culture of on the job safety, lead safety meetings, and participate in safety audits
• Serve as subject matter expert in IM mold installation procedure in order to achieve optimal production quality
• Lead process optimization projects in order to troubleshoot, optimize, and refine injection molding techniques
• Lead technical troubleshooting initiatives to resolve issues related to tooling and other equipment and machinery
• Work with the engineering teams to translate new theoretical processes to actionable plant productivity enhancements
• Collect quality assurance data through a QMS in order to ensure that molding processes meet established standards

Candidate Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process control and operation particularly as a technician with injection molding technologies
• AS or Technical Degree is preferred. BS in not mandatory
• Ability to pass a basic key mathematics and technical aptitude test
• Deep understanding of injection molding process safety and quality guidelines
