SUMMARY: The Insert Assembly Team Member works to create and assemble insert components for caskets, ensuring a high-quality product. The Insert Assembly Team Member maintains constant awareness of the correct production processes, appropriate safety precautions, and maximum productivity. This position reports directly to the Inserts Team Lead and VFP Production Manager. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures safe practices are implemented and always followed.
- Follows standard operating procedures and advises leadership if procedures are varied or are in possible need of improvement and/or updating.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
- Carefully crafts head panels and fabric covered rolls then installs in caskets according to production needs utilizing fabric, corrugated products, and other raw materials.
- Installs additional components of interior into casket on the line and coordinates with other Inserts Team Members to cover their portion of the line in the case of an absence or as needed.
- Completes daily production paperwork with accuracy and consistency and gives to leadership in a timely fashion.
- Identifies and assesses variances and issues with products when varying from established quality standards and brings to the attention of their Team Lead/Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Suggests methods and modifications to appropriate Team Members to reduce production costs, increase on-time-delivery and improve work processes to create efficiencies.
- Assists with physical inventory audits when requested, ensuring accuracy and proficiency.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- Exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a high school diploma/GED.

- Has the ability to read, comprehend and write the English language as it relates to safety, job responsibilities and other essential communication.
