POSITION SUMMARY: Inside Sales Representatives play a crucial role in generating royalties for BMI-affiliated songwriters, composers, and publishers. By offering a license to businesses using music, this position reinforces BMI's commitment to protecting music performance rights. Successful Inside Sales Representatives leverage their sales expertise and business acumen to establish trust, educate, and illustrate the benefits of licensing. As a member of the Licensing Sales team, the Inside Sales Representative focuses on key metrics to drive results towards achieving sales targets. LOCATION: Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Sell the value of music and BMI's services.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Conduct outbound sales calls using call center software as part of the sales process. (60-80 calls per day).
- Reach out to customers through cold calling.
- Provide high-level customer care, as defined by management.
- Maintain call quality standards in all customer interactions.
- Validate and update lead information.
- Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs.
- Regularly update internal systems with accurate account information and supporting documentation.
- Generate and qualify leads through tele-qualification and CRM systems.
- Demonstrate best practices in sales performance and behavior.
- Uphold BMI's core values, cultivating a culture of diversity and inclusion.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Experience: Two (2) years of experience in sales and a call center environment preferred. Familiarity with database management required. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong communication, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills to understand and effectively address their needs.
- Skilled in building relationships with a wide variety of individuals on a daily basis.
- Confidence and self-assurance in successfully calling customers to close sales.
- Experience in a transactional sales role and selling an intangible product.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Inside Sales, B2B Sales experience.
- Adaptable to business changes.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks or projects.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Five9, and Oracle or comparable call center technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Attention to detail.
Salary Range:
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
