JOB DESCRIPTION:The Inside Sales Representative's main objective is to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining and expanding relationships primarily within the law enforcement and correctional markets. The Inside Sales Representative will interact with other departments to meet customer requirements in an accurate and timely manner, while maintaining adherence to the ISO standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Field and respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Prepare quotes using published price sheets.
  • Process customer orders for products and training
  • Obtain diversionary device training certificates and tax exemption forms, as needed.
  • Create Purchase Order Requests for buy/sell products.
  • Complete Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Coordinate customer refunds, returns, and exchanges with other departments.
  • Generate sales reports using the ERP system.
  • Inform customers of anticipated shipping date or any delays
  • Compute projected shipping costs and federal excise tax, upon customer request.
  • Analyze customers' terms and conditions and work with customers to resolve any that conflict with ALS/Pacem-Defense's
  • Relay customer requirements, including delivery dates, special packaging requests, or invoicing instructions to other departments.
  • Provide tracking information to customers upon order shipment and confirm overall satisfaction with the ordering process.
  • Coordinate with Sales Manager and other internal departments to best address customers' needs
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of the munitions industry, i.e., ALS/Pacem-Defense's product line, through attending a Less Lethal Instructor course and any other appropriate courses.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices through compliance with all company Environmental Health and Safety Policies
  • Perform other job assignments as assigned.
EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales or customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computing Skills: Windows Operating System; general use of internet web sites and search tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong basic arithmetic skills
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Most of the jobs require being seated at a desk, using a computer.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and kneel as needed to use general office equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to listen and comprehend.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be comfortable working in a facility where explosives and ammunition are manufactured, handled, and frequently expanded for testing and demonstration purposes.
