Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative – Valve Division is responsible for driving sales growth by managing and expanding relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the valve market. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of valve products, applications, and industry trends, coupled with strong sales skills and customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Generation:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers in the valve industry.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and quotas.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions using [Your Company Name]'s valve products.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of valve products, their applications, and industry trends.
- Stay updated on new products, technologies, and advancements in the valve industry.
- Provide accurate and detailed product information to customers.
- Sales Process Management:
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to order fulfillment.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to close deals effectively.
- Sales Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Generate regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience in the valve industry or a related field.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
