Service is everything!Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reverse Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Consumer Direct/Call Center team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding senior homeowners through the reverse mortgage process, providing expert consultation, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will work directly with inbound and outbound callers to identify their needs, educate them about reverse mortgage products, and help them secure financing to improve their financial well-being. - Provide expert guidance to senior homeowners inquiring about reverse mortgage options, explaining product features, benefits, and eligibility requirements.
- Respond to inbound calls and conduct outbound calls to potential borrowers, converting leads into loan applications. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process.
- Assess client eligibility for reverse mortgage loans, complete loan applications, and submit all required documentation for processing.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and reverse mortgage products to effectively educate clients and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure all loan activities comply with federal, state, and company regulations, including the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) guidelines and other reverse mortgage-related standards.
- Assist clients in completing required paperwork, including disclosures, loan applications, and other relevant forms. Work closely with the processing team to ensure smooth loan progression.
- Work closely with the call center team, loan processors, underwriters, and other departments to facilitate a seamless and efficient loan origination process.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Reverse Mortgage Loan Officer or a similar role in the mortgage industry, preferably in a call center or consumer direct environment.
- Must have an NMLS Originator license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to obtain licensing in all states where licenses are required
- Strong understanding of reverse mortgage products (HECM), federal regulations, and underwriting guidelines.
- Proven success in the achievement of sales goals and performance metrics
- Ability to establish and maintain respectful and cooperative working relationships within and outside our organization
- Professional written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform duties with a minimum of supervision using good judgment
- Proven success in following up with customers and responding to customers' needs in a timely and professional manner
- Having patience and empathy skills in working with the senior market and their families
