Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Installation Manager to oversee and manage our commercial and industrial HVAC projects. This position plays a critical role in bid and pricing management, project execution, and ensuring the quality of installations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in commercial or industrial HVAC systems, project management, and a high degree of technical and managerial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Bid and Pricing Management: Lead the bid process by accurately pricing projects, preparing detailed proposals, and negotiating terms with clients and suppliers.
• Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Coordinate with teams to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Technical Review: Interpret technical drawings and specifications (e.g., as-built plans, AutoCAD), ensuring accurate project execution.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the project and installation teams, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment. Manage union staff, ensuring compliance with union requirements.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews and inspections throughout project phases to uphold the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Client Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing project inquiries and providing timely updates.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all installations adhere to industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management within the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of control systems, piping, and commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Experience: Proven experience in HVAC installation or project management within a commercial or industrial setting, with a strong background in pricing, bidding, and managing HVAC projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans (as-builds, AutoCAD); knowledge of pipefitting is a plus.
• Management Skills: Excellent people management skills with experience leading teams, including union workers.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring high-quality project execution.
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of building management or control systems is beneficial, though not essential. Pipe-fitting knowledge is useful but not required.

Work Environment

• This position may require occasional travel to project sites.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
