If this sounds like the opportunity to further your career that you've been looking for, apply for this Installation Technician I position today!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN IAs part of the deployment team, you will be expected to travel to assigned geographical areas to install security solutions and innovative technologies to protect citizens, borders, seaports, airports, facilities and critical assets. You are responsible for accurately and efficiently processing requests for installation, maintenance and repair of security system and network infrastructures. Any given day, you may assemble, disassemble, and install video and data communication lines and hardware, computer systems, and security and surveillance systems using hand and power tools.Though you spend much of your time working with a team, independently your interpersonal skills come in handy as you will clean and maintain tools, test equipment, and motor vehicle. Complete logbooks, daily timesheets, expense vouchers, and verbal and written status reports. Attend and complete developmental and refresher training to improve or maintain technical skills. Conducts personal safety check and adheres to established safety standards, guidelines, and directives. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) to include eye protection, hard hat, gloves, reflective vest, steel toed boots and special PPE as directed.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN I

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain required government issued security clearances. In order to meet this requirement, you must be a US Citizen.
• Completion of a technical school program experience as an electrician's helper or equivalent job with rudimentary knowledge of basic electric theory or minimum of twelve months basic construction experience.
• Fundamental understanding of basic hand and power tool use.
• Basic understanding of computer concepts, applications, and configuration; electronic and computer equipment hardware and software, and operation of telecommunications broadcasting, switching, and control.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Ability to travel (approximately 75% of the time) to remote US locations.
