Position Title: Institutional Advancement Associate - Northeast RegionPosting Number: S097PDepartment: Institutional Advancement - DeptPosition Type: StaffJob Description:This is a remote position.This position will work throughout the Northeast Region and New England from Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, to Maine. Strong preference for candidates located in the Philadelphia or Boston areas. 75% of travel time will be spent within the designated territory.Job SummaryThe Institutional Advancement Associate identifies contacts, meets, and develops relationships with major donors. The incumbent of this position is responsible for soliciting donors support and keeping them up-to-date on the College.Essential Job Functions1. Send hand-written letters to Hillsdale supporters requesting a visit with them.2. Make phone calls and send emails to Hillsdale supporters to set up personal visits with them.3. Meet face-to-face with major donors in their home/business/for meals. (150meetings/year). These meetings are meant to inform donors about the college, thank them for their support, and develop a long-term relationship with the college.4. Send follow-up letters, emails, and phone calls to thank donors for meeting, and providing additional information about the College and its giving options.5. Send occasional notes, emails, and phone calls to maintain a connection with donors, including holiday greeting cards to all priority prospects.6. Interact with and host donors and visitors of the College at various on-campus and off-campus events.7. Provide Hillsdale campus tours to interested individuals who visit the college.8. Facilitate gifts, scholarship agreements, pledges, trusts and annuities, stock transfers, estate gifts, real property gifts (appraisals), and real estate gifts.9. Maintain donor information by recording donor interactions in Call Reports to be entered in the CRM database.Required Qualifications:This position requires a Bachelors Degree; or a combination of education, training, or experience, that fulfills the needs of the College.
