Demonstrates customer service awareness by communicating and relating to residents/families/visitors/staff in a polite, caring, sensate and support manner.2. Provide cleaning of medical equipment or devices commonly located on the clinical units.3. Monitor and maintain clean orderly environment at the residents beside and in his/her room.4. Assist with monitoring and putting away supplies and equipment5. Transport/escort supplies, equipment, specimens and/or residents when assigned.6. Assumes the role of smoke watcher or self laundry room monitor when assigned.7. Demonstrates safety awareness and participates in the facility and department safety programs:
  • a. Recognizes and reports any actual or potential risks/hazards in the environment and/or in the delivery of care. Such as but not limited to: broken equipment, unlocked beds and wheelchairs, wet floor and frayed wires. Residents with changes in mental or physical status, smoking in unauthorized areas.
  • b. Observes and monitors residents who appear to be at risk to fall have unsteady excessive drowsiness, confusion, slurred speech, physical/verbal altercations. Report immediately to the HN/CN on the resident's clinical unit and his/her immediate supervisor and/or security as necessary.
  • c. Verbalizes awareness of the MSDS information on disinfectants used to clean on the clinical units or in the resident self' laundry room.
  • d. Assists in monitoring people traffic in the smoking rooms or in the self laundry room.
  • e. Follows the protocols for fire and disaster safety. Verbalizes the process and circumstances for calling a Code Blue or Code Red
8. Attends all mandatory classes.9. Participates in performance improvement activities when assigned.10.
