Job Description :
Typical Hourly Range is: $21.51 - $26.88 DOE The actual offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, and other relevant factors. Education Pay: $1.00 - $2.00Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher, the Instructional Aide implements the school curriculum, behavior management system, student's IEP, and the specialty mental health services plan.Essential Functions:
  • Ensures the safety of assigned students through direct supervision.
  • Facilitates 1:1 or small group instruction.
  • Plans and supervises daily activities and school structure.
  • Ensures that the physical needs of the students are met.
  • Implements trauma informed interventions with all youth and can effectively manage behaviors.
  • Performs duties as assigned by teacher including taking attendance, duplication, grading, inventorying and ordering supplies, organizing classrooms.
  • Required Education and Experience:
  • Must possess minimum of AA degree or completion of 48 college units from an accredited institution or pass an approved academic assessment.
  • Position/Program Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit. Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) and drug screening test.
  • Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in an office or outdoor environment including standing, walking, and running, sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit to work with potentially violent clients. Must be physically able to perform Pro-Act Restraint Techniques, CPR and First Aid as trained.
