About the EmployerThe Merced County Office of Education assists Merced County's 20 school districts through support and oversight of curriculum and instruction, alternative education, business services, early education, technology, migrant education, special education, and teacher credentialing. MCOE is led by the elected Merced County Superintendent of Schools and governed by the Merced County Board of Education. While serving as a focal point to facilitate local school/government/community partnerships, MCOE is responsible for the fiscal oversight of each school district in Merced County, hears appeals for student expulsion hearings and interdistrict transfers and operates Green Meadows Outdoor School.Job SummaryUnder the direction of the assigned administrator and as part of a treatment team this position implements evidence based behavior reduction and skill acquisition programs developed by a Board Certified Board Analyst (BCBA) based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in one-on-one and in group settings. Behavioral Tech, one-on-one Instructional AideRequirements / Qualifications1. COMPLETE online application 2. Resume 3. HS Diploma/Equivalent 4. Unofficial College Transcripts (if you have over 48 college units completed or completed an AA degree) OR Satisfactory results from a Proficiency test 5. EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience working with students on an individual education plan (IEP) with physical or verbal challenging behaviors. Applicants who meet both education and experience may be invited for Proficiency testing unless already compliant.
