• Teaching undergraduate professional preparation courses as well as various activity courses required in the University Physical Education service program. Teaching load - 12 hours per semester. Primary teaching responsibilities will include teaching in some of the following areas:
  • Professional Preparation: Curriculum and Methods of Teaching in Physical Education in K-12
    • Physical Activity Courses: Track & Field, Soccer, Softball, Basketball, Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball
• Supervise teacher candidates during an internship

• Maintain documentation of all pre-clinical and clinical experiences

• Participate in structured real-world experiences in K-12 school settings

• Plan for necessary curriculum laboratory recourses for the department

• Monitor students' progress through the teacher education program

• Attend regular departmental and School faculty meetings

• Serve on Committees

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's in Physical Education is required, Ph.D. or ED is preferred o K-12 Physical Education teacher certification is highly desirable
• Successful teaching experience at the college/university level and teaching experience within a multicultural environment
