Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures is accepting applications for multiple full-time non-tenure track Instructors of Spanish. These are nine-month appointments, beginning August 16, 2019 and ending May 15, 2020. The salary for each position is $42,000. Duties: Teach introductory through intermediate Spanish language courses (four classes per semester); prepare course syllabi and handouts; evaluate and grade student class work, assignments and papers; maintain required records including student attendance and grades; maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree in Spanish or a related field is required and must be in hand by August 1, 2019. Evidence of teaching experience at the collegiate level and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English is expected. Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Spanish, or a related field.
