Job Description :

We are a leader in design and building of specialized equipment for several different markets. We design and build equipment to apply plastic strapping in packaging applications. We are innovators of new equipment and processes which are presented to us by existing and new customers.

Candidate would be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical machinery designs to meet customer needs. Support all phases of design through manufacturing including installation, warranty, and post warranty phases. Create PLC programs and electrical drawings. Interface with suppliers as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates electrical schematic drawings using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
  • Designs the automation controls, sequence of operations, PLC/HMI programming for machines
  • Develops PLC/HMI programs using Allen Bradley RSlogix/Studio 5000
  • Ability to generate complete machine concepts with little direction
  • Coordinates programming and electrical designs with manufacturing locations in US and Italy
  • Assist with the startup and debugging of equipment
  • Supports customers/installation staff in the field or via phone with electrical troubleshooting of equipment
  • Understands opportunities brought by sales and customer specifications for designs
  • Helps create controls quotations for equipment proposals
  • Delivers projects on time, on budget with customer satisfaction.
  • Sales travel & field service support up to 20%.
  • Experience working with packaging equipment is a highly favorable.
  • Prior experience with structured text programming is a plus.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from accredited university

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Engineering related to the design and manufacture of custom equipment.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience designing and manufacturing custom equipment required.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC/HMI programming required.
  • Experience with standard wiring methods required with CE/CSA/UL
  • Ability to write sequence of operations for controls engineering and automation required.
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience required.
  • Experience with Siemens/TIA portal is a plus.

  • Moderate lifting and carrying
  • Some walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, bending and climbing.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
