NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. We are looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Supervisor to supervise Instrumentation, Electrician, and Electrical personnel who maintain and test electrical systems and components in a food processing facility. This leader will be responsible for day-to-day operational functions to ensure accuracy, continuous flow process, maintaining quality assurance standards, effective and efficient productivity, continuous improvement and achievement towards established goals and deadlines at our San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA. - Supervises skilled personnel in instrumentation electronics and electrical preventative maintenance service, calibration, testing and repairs of systems and equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosis of problems and repair of plant instrumentation and process systems.
- Ensures installation, start up and shut down of equipment is performed in accordance with company safety procedures.
- May supervise operations on assigned shift during fresh pack season; confers with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems to ensure plant operates at optimum efficiency.
- Supervises electronics and electrical maintenance employees, including daily work assignments coaching, performance feedback and initiating disciplinary/corrective action.
- Communicates with operators and maintenance personnel on operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic components and equipment.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or vocational certification in Electrical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
- 3 years' experience in electrical and electronics maintenance operations, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- 1-year supervisory experience, preferably in union environment, and California Electrician's license preferred.
- Working knowledge of solid-state circuitry and programmable controllers, robotics, PLC/HMI programming in systems integration and functions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
Compensation: The salary range is $88,500 - $99,500, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits:
