With over 2,400 employees in facilities throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America, our unique combination of creativity and tenacity activates big ideas on a global stage.The Instrumentation Technician I will:Install test equipment in development vehicles such as thermocouples, transducers, sensors, fiber optics, and accelerometers.Build, modify, adjust, and calibrate installed devices.Build and install low voltage wire harnesses to drawings and schematics.Be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.As an Instrumentation Technician I, you will be responsible for:Building and installing low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring harnesses, auxiliary battery and electrical systems.Installing, adjusting, and calibrating sensors, shunts, fiber optics, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems.Collaborating with customers, fabricators, and mechanics to identify required locations for sensor installation according to Instrumentation Requirement List (IRL).Assisting in performing complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation according to Instrumentation Quality Assurance (IQA).Diagnosing faulty low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring systems and repair.Working with electronic functional and measurement tools, such as power supplies, function generators, and multimeters.Maintaining records by entering notes into service repair requests.Keeping shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.Participating in daily shop organization and clean-up.To be considered as an Instrumentation Technician I, you will need:High school diploma or equivalent.No previous experience required.Able to follow procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects, such as work requests, shop procedures, and shop manuals, publications, or schematic diagrams.Good organizational skills and works well independently and as part of a team.Good communication and time management skills.Good attention to detail.A successful candidate may also have:Valid driver's license.Certificate in Automotive Technology or related field.Knowledge of proper installation of thermocouples.National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).State Mechanic Certification(s).Experience performing soldering, crimping, tube bending, component layout, and packaging on vehicles or subsystems.Knowledge of proper installation of pressure transducers.Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.Our full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.If you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.Please visit our careers page and apply by clicking on this link: our website: .Like us on Facebook: /RoushCareers.Roush is an EO employer - Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories.If you need a reasonable accommodation for our employment application process due to disability, please contact Roush Talent Acquisition at (734) ###-####.#J-18808-Ljbffr
