Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for provider enrollment with payers.
- Timely updates of provider information including license, certifications, etc to ensure accurate and up to date provider information.
- Assists billers with enrollment related denials.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients in regard to their accounts, i.e. taking payments, questions, etc.
- Keeps current on all insurance changes and updates.
- Answer the phone using proper telephone etiquette.
- Maintain all required records, reports, and statistics, etc.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Greets and directs all patients, visitors, sales representatives, etc., who need assistance to the appropriate department and/or staff member using AIDET.
- Responsible to participate in completion of department and hospital goals.
- Responsible for attending mandatory in services, department meetings and other in services applicable to the department.
- Actively participate in team oriented decision making process. Is a team player, willing to be flexible and open to other's ideas.
- Focus portions of daily work towards high customer satisfaction. The goal of all employees is to meet or exceed our customer's expectations 100% of the time.
- Develop a proactive mind set towards the job. Observes opportunities for improvement, formulates ideas, communicates those ideas with their supervisors and/or staff, carries out variations in work habits in continuous quality improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Work experience that demonstrates the ability to work with a computer.
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Ability to pass certification requirement within first 90 days of hire.
