Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking an Insurance Tax Principal to join our entrepreneurial firm, one of the fastest growing in the US. As a valued business advisor, you will deliver industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to the Insurance industry, working closely with firm leadership and associates to serve clients and build the business.ResponsibilitiesYou will enjoy this role if:

  • Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to Insurance clients.
  • Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters.
  • Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate tax.
  • Research tax matters and respond to IRS inquiries.
  • Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters.
  • Oversee tax-planning responsibilities for federal clients.
  • Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships.
  • Participate in developing tax service market positioning and branding.
  • Invest in your professional development.
  • Support the growth and development of team members.
  • Recruit, develop, lead, and retain team members.
  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and high ethical standards.
  • Represent the firm at key community events and firm functions.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's or advanced degree desirable.
  • CPA highly desirable.
  • Ten or more years' experience providing tax compliance and consulting services.
  • Previous role as a leader or equity holder in a professional services firm.
  • Eight or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong Insurance industry experience.
  • Demonstrated management, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
