Florida ENT & Allergy, a division of ENT & Allergy Associates of Florida, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual seeking a full-time Benefits Verification Specialist.Florida E.N.T. & Allergy is a fast-growing medical practice with 13 locations in the Tampa Bay Area. Our current positions is for our Tampa location.Florida E.N.T. & Allergy has been serving the needs of our patients for 45 years. Join us and experience what it's like to take pride in being part of a dynamic team that is on the cutting edge.Insurance verification job duties include pre-certification of benefits for scheduled patients. This entails calling insurance providers to gather benefit information. Other duties include updating insurance and contact information so that patients have the correct information on file. Verification personnel also confer with patients to let them know their financial obligation once coverage is verified. Verification specialists must do their jobs while adhering to insurance rules and patient confidentiality laws.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum one year experience working in a multi-physician practice
  • Computer literate, with keyboard skills
  • ICD-10, CPT code knowledge
  • Ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and highly motivated
  • Good at multitasking
  • Able to understand claim/billing information
  • Insurance benefit knowledge
  • Work experience with insurance companies
  • Detail- oriented focus
Benefits Insurance Verification Specialist Receptionist:
  • Medical, Dental and Vision: Effective 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.
  • Company paid STD, LTD, Life: Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of full-time employment.
  • 401(K): Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of employment.
  • 6 Paid Holidays: Effective immediately.

Physical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Incumbent must also be able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTA offices for support purposes.
