Current Saint Francis Employees - Please click HERE to login and apply.Full TimeNightsSchedule: Monday - Thursday 2:45pm to 1:15amJob Summary: Provides clinical and/or nursing assessment and crisis intervention services to persons seeking treatment at Laureate.Minimum Education: Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related behavioral health field.Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License, or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Professional Counselor (LPC) license, or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access as might be used in the preparation of correspondence and reports. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to be detail oriented as required for documentation of services and coordination with various payers. Working knowledge of behavioral health treatment practices, guidelines and bio-psychosocial model. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Therapists or nurses will work to fulfill the role of their position within the scope of their licensure. Meets with prospective patients and significant others to evaluate clinical situation, with emphasis on identifying clinical risk factors and performing a medical screening evaluation. May utilize the nursing process to care for patients (if licensed as RN). Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration of patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors. Relays information to on-call physician for determination regarding the existence of an emergency medical/psychiatric condition, then facilitates patient's linkage to appropriate treatment resources. Obtains pre-certification for services from third-party payers. Documents clinically and nursing pertinent information in the patient's record and other department data gathering tools. Provides supportive, crisis-oriented counseling when appropriate. Communicates clinical information to referral sources, primary care physicians and other relevant parties. Supports unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities as evidenced by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports. Performs all other duties assigned within the scope of licensure.Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.Working Relationship: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
