Job DetailsJob Location Long Island City - Long Island City, NY Position Type Full-Time Exempt Education Level 4 Year Degree Salary Range $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year Job Shift Day DescriptionTitle: Intake & Data Integrity Specialist Unit: Behavioral Health Division Reports to: Senior Director of Operations Status: Full Time; Regular; Exempt Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 based on experience Location: Long Island City Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Position Summary: The Fortune Society's Behavioral Health division, which includes outpatient treatment services, outpatient mental health services, Health Home care management, HIV+ health services, and Insurance Billig & Compliance, is rapidly expanding. To strategically support this growth the division has an open position for an Intake and Data Integrity Specialist (DES) who will report directly to the division's Senior Director of Operations but work closely with the staff throughout the division to assess, analyze and report out on various data points for the Behavioral health practice. This is a growth position for the right candidate who can input, aggregate, and analyze multiple data points, anticipates the logical next step and can work closely with senior management to use data analysis to inform operational best practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly run reports and conduct ongoing internal and external analyses using the agency's internal Management Information System (MIS) as well as various external contract databases;
- Manage the internal and external referral process for the entire division, monitoring for appropriate follow up by the Behavioral Health Engagement Team and training/retraining referral sources on using the Fortune Navigator for all referrals;
- Conduct pre-release screenings for DOCCS and DOC as well as pre-and post-release housing screenings as needed;
- Manage client schedules for the treatment services clinic in Accummedic and reconcile clinical schedules with claim volume; accurately enroll new clients into Caseworthy, conduct preliminary insurance checks, and complete consent process;
- Advise the BH management team on performance trends related to contract goals, including mid-month analysis of enrollment and engagement activity levels, including preliminary forecasting for the month's CI outcomes;
- Coordinate with the Evaluation and Quality Improvement (EQI) team and IT teams to develop and update tools that measure client performance and track milestone achievement, and ensure appropriate new report generation and modification;
- Manage the board report process and other data analysis projects as requested by senior management; liaise with EQI as appropriate to complete projects;
- Engage in process documentation, staff training, and regular quality assurance monitoring to ensure accurate database entries in both agency and funder databases;
- Manage the MetroCard distribution process for the treatment services clinic and mental health center; reconcile distribution numbers against participant appointments to ensure accuracy;
- Maintain and track data entry for GPRAs at baseline, 6-month follow-ups and discharge;
- Some administrative support required;
- Additional responsibilities as required.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health, human services, or related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience with data analysis/management;
- Must have a thorough knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, and a comfortability with learning multiple data platforms;
- Must be detail-oriented, computer savvy, and results-driven;
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds in a culturally-competent manner;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to multitask
