Job Details

• Overseeing the intake process for new patients, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
• Conducting documentation reviews to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Assessing prospective patients to determine care needs and eligibility for admission
• Assigning initial ICD-10 codes to initiate authorization for HMO patients
• Building and maintaining relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to ensure a steady -flow of admissions
• Coordinating with staff to ensure smooth transitions for new patients
• Collaborating with nursing staff, social workers, and administrators to optimize patient care plans

Skills You Need

• Degree in Nursing or Social Work
• Experience in a healthcare admissions or discharge role (preferably in a CHHA)
• Supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of Home Care billing (Medicare, Medicaid, 3rd party payers) and ICD-10 coding
