Job DescriptionSchedule Information: Variable practice schedule. May include evenings and weekends depending on the regular and post season sports schedule.Hours Per Week: 0 - 18Benefits: N/AWork Conditions: Applicant must be able to conduct athletic practices. Work is primarily indoors. Travel is required to away games.ResponsibilitiesDuties of Position:Supports the academic progress of student athletes.Attends all regular practice sessions and games.Assists the head coach in adequately preparing the student athletes for competition through planning and conducting of well-organized practices and contests.Assists the head coach in the planning and implementation of the team conditioning program.Assists the head coach in the transportation and supervision of athletes to and from meets.Assists in the supervision and protection of William Rainey Harper College's equipment and facilities during regular practice and contest times.Assists the head coach with team and individual statistics.Assists head coach in recruitment duties.QualificationsEducational Requirements: Associates required. Masters preferred. Current CPR/AED certification required. Coaching certification preferred. First Aid certification preferred. Must have a valid Illinois driver's license.Experience Requirements: Minimum of one year of basketball coaching experience at the secondary school level or higher.
