What does the Area Business Office Specialist do?

In this regional role, you will provide support and direction to assigned care center/community business office managers to include accounting processing, collections, training and vacancy coverage. In this job, every day you will

1. Implement established systems to monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll procedures. Assist in collections as assigned.

2. Monitor Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll and provides training and auditing of account collections and account research.

3. Audit accounting records for accuracy, organization, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

4. Coordinate accounting functions at the facility during office vacancies.

5. Work with the Central Support accounting staff in the development, implementation and training of field business office staff regarding accounting systems.

6. Submit community visit reports and audit reports in a timely fashion to Director of Field Auditors.

7. Offer input in the completion of annual reviews for Administrative Assistants/Business Office Manager working in conjunction with the facility Administrators/Executive Directors as requested.

Education & Experience you need to qualify:

* You will need to bring an Accounting degree or a minimum of 2 years accounting experience in the long term care industry.

* Must have two or more years long term care accounting experience including preparing accounting procedures, training on accounting tasks and computer data entry.

* Have a current driver's license and access to a personal car.

* Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills.

* Ability to creatively problem-solve, be a team player, be well-organized, and flexible.

* Experience with accounting systems a must.

* Prior experience in the development and training in accounting procedures and rules and multi-site coverage an asset.

PTO:

AL/PCI Salary: Accrue PTO at rate of 0.0615/hour during their first year/16 days.

PCI Hourly: Full-time and Part-Time team members (over 20 hours/week) accrue PTO at rate of 0.0423/hour during their first year.
