SSI Logistics, backed by 20 years of experience and a dedicated team committed to excellence, is seeking an International Shipping Director to lead the setup and growth of our International Brokerage Division. As the International Shipping Director, you will spearhead the establishment of our International Brokerage Division, develop key client relationships, and oversee global freight operations. Your expertise in international logistics and ocean freight will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and growth of SSI Logistics' International Brokerage Division.
• Create and execute strategies for international shipping operations, focusing on ocean freight.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and global partners.
• Leverage your book of business to generate opportunities and drive revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and shipping standards.
• Mentor and manage a team of logistics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Analyze market trends and shipping data to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years in international shipping, with substantial ocean freight experience.
• Proven track record in managing global freight operations and international logistics.
• Preferred: An established book of business.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international trade compliance and customs regulations.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and supply chain management tools.
• Certifications: Customs Brokerage License or similar certifications are a bonus.

Annual Salary:

$110,000+
