Job Description: Position: Medical-Surgical Renal Nurse Reports to: Medical-Surgical Renal Nurse Manager Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to patients with renal disorders and conditions, including those undergoing dialysis treatments. Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' renal function and electrolyte balance.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with renal conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments, such as diuretics, antihypertensives, and phosphate binders.
  • Monitor patients for complications of renal disease, such as fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and anemia.
  • Educate patients and families about renal conditions and their management.
  • Assist with dialysis treatments, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, dialysis technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of renal nursing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
