Job Location : Muncy,PA, USA
This provider will perform some minor procedures independently following training and privileging to include but not limited to gastrostomy change, mediport removal, paracentesis, thoracentesis, tunneled catheter removal, thyroid biopsy and lymph node biopsy. The position will also be responsible for non-procedural activities to include but limited to rounding on inpatients post procedure, triaging orders, clinic visits, communicating with referring services, H&Ps, discharge instructions.
Position DetailsGeisinger Medical Center (GMC), the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Childrens Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the regions only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, womens health (in the Womens Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics.
