Introduction to Leading on Bolted Routes Field Trip - Vantage/The Feathers - Mountaineersbooks : Job Details

FULL (2 capacity)

We will start by practicing skills on the ground, including reviewing lead and top rope belaying, clipping technique, and stance, then practice anchor building and cleaning. Then we will move to easy routes where students can lead and clean with an instructor present at the top. Students will then mock lead, and when they are ready, lead low to moderate grade sport routes.

8:00 am Saturday morning on the north side of the Feathers. Camping there on Friday night is optional. There is dispersed camping on site or there are several local campgrounds. Plan to camp on site or nearby on Saturday.
