Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for managing the second shift of Material Handlers. Hours are 12:30pm-9:00pm M-F.
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for several activities, including keeping team up to date on work order picking ensuring all items are received and put away properly, resolving errors on inventory transactions, maintaining system accuracy for all inventories including 3rd party location, and continuing to reorganize warehouse to ensure picking efficacy and accuracy.
The Inventory Control Analyst is required to monitor, resolve, and report all slow and obsolete inventories, as well as communicating with management and all internal and external auditors as required.
The Inventory Control Analyst will collaborate with other departments and participate in cross functional meetings with production planners, material planners, and material handlers, and finance to thoroughly examine processes or issues that negatively impact inventory management.
The Inventory Control Analyst will recommend corrective actions to improve inventory performance and utilization, as well as guaranteeing that efficient and robust inventory controls are in place.
Responsibilities will include planning and reporting on the progress of inventory reduction initiatives and championing inventory issues across several functional units, including Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university desired; Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent from two-year College or military equivalent, may be acceptable when combined with a minimum of four years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ERP system experience
Lean Manufacturing knowledge desired
