Job description

Inventory analysts manage inventory items and control the day-to-day inventory operations while implementing an agreed-upon inventory control protocol. Inventory analysts need to have strong organizational skills, and be able to work under pressure, multitask, and adapt. Mathematical skills, and be able to analyze and interpret spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the monitoring and analysis of inventory levels, identify trends, analyze discrepancies, maintain records of transactions and make recommendations to optimize inventory management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability to meet customer demand.
  • Inventory management; cycle counting, identifying inventory for disposal and surplus.
  • Support the quote process by generating Requests for Quote (RFQ)
  • Analysis: Analyze the root causes of any inventory issues, provide resolutions and suggest improvements to inventory control.
  • Documentation: Document any inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with vendors on quality issues and facilitate return processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues with receiving errors.
  • Participate in warehouse/inventory continuous improvement projects.

Experience and Skills:

  • High School Diploma - associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Inventory management, Forecasting, Analysis, Reconciling, Accuracy, Inventory control, Cycle counting, Attention to detail, and Analytical thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, managers, and customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP
  • Ability to learn various environmental databases.
  • Valid driver's license
