Inventory BuyerDepartment: Purchasing/InventoryEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Glen Cove, NYCompensation: $65,000 - $80,000 / yearDescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Buyer to manage the procurement of CNC lathe wood components and metal spinning components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, a keen eye for detail, and familiarity with NetSuite.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement:
  • Source and purchase CNC lathe wood components and metal spinning components.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Inventory Management:
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.
Supplier Relations:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits.
Quality Control:
  • Ensure all purchased components meet Allied Maker's quality standards.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
NetSuite Utilization:
  • Use NetSuite for inventory tracking, order management, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within the NetSuite system.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the production and design teams to understand component requirements.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to manage budgets and cost controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an inventory buyer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC lathe operations and metal spinning processes.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite is mandatory.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
