Job Title: Inventory Clerk

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: $19.60

Department: Riverbend

Reports To: Inventory Supervisor

Summary

Responsible for coordinating inventory activities for assigned facilities. Accountable for risk mitigation and financial integrity related to functions/actions performed within the realm of Inventory Management for assigned facilities Works closely with all warehouse and logistics entities to provide efficient/effective inventory controls. This is a mission critical role for the warehouse team to ensure that assigned facilities' inventory functions run smoothly by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitates warehouse logistics activities related to specific department inventory management/control for assigned departments/facilities
  • Promotes best inventory practices and operational excellence within the warehouse
  • Promotes and supports financial inventory management strategies
  • Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks
  • Mitigates risk for the warehouse by implementation of departmental inventory programs for assigned departments at local facilities that maintain the highest possible level of assurance that supplies will be available
  • Supports financial viability for the warehouse through close and expert monitoring. Associate is the super user expert in the use of barcode reading equipment.
  • Assists warehouse leadership in training new frontline staff on the use of barcode equipment
  • Supports financial viability for the warehouse through participation/leadership of the formal physical inventory program
  • Collaborates with all leadership to provide congruent, best practice Inventory Control Models
  • Supports system-wide logistics strategy through collaboration with other facilities' inventory coordinators
  • Collaboration includes travel to other sites and assisting in projects, inventory control, and inventory audits
  • All other tasks as assigned

Additional Skills Needed

Knowledge and experience using SAP

knowledge of general business computer software and attitude to learn new software applications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Lift Truck Certified (forklift, order picker, Bendi)
