DescriptionMISSION STATEMENTCo-creating independence and dignity through the power of personal and workforce development.Position Duties:1. Monitor Material Resource Planning (MRP) and respond to increases/decreases as they affect vendors daily.2. Issue material orders to vendors weekly or as required.3. Update inventory metrics weekly.4. Monitor, prep documentation and work with production to schedule Mopar Production as required.5. Back-up Customer Support systems such as SMART, Direct Data Link (DDL), and Bulletins.6. Manage Customer systems required for all container needs (Ford, GM , Chrysler)7. Make inventory corrections when necessary with management review & sign-off.8. Inbound Logistics support9. Run & Manage Inbound Material Report showing daily material receipts expected. Share report with Dock & Production Staff.10. Keep Hot Part list posted and up to date.11. Follow quality system procedures necessary for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit to maintain TS-16949 and ISO-14001 Certification.12. Performs other duties as required.RequirementsEDUCATION: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred.EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years Automotive supplier experience required.KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: 1. Familiarity with repetitive manufacturing software (AIM) to adequately backup daily functions (label/shipper generation, etc.) 2. Understand re-order points through use of Material Resource Planning (MRP.)3. Understand inventory management.Familiarity with customer web-based support systems-Covisint Ford Direct Data Link (DDL); GM Supply Power; Chrysler DRIVe, SMART, CRATES. 5. Understand & use Inventory Value & Turns metrics as they apply to Inventory management.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit, stand, and/or bend for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 40 poundsMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks. Must be able to handle working in a challenging environment while maintaining patience & positive attitude.MACHINES/EQUIPMENT: Must be able to operate calculator, fax, personal computer and related software. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office and standard automotive environment.OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must acquire a fork-lift operator's permit within 90 days of hire.Ability to work effectively and professionally with all personnel, customers and Suppliers. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to work a flexible shift and on weekends
