INVENTORY CONTROL ANALYSTSummary

As an Inventory Control Analyst for Vulcan Industries you will compile and maintain inventory records in global shop ERP computer system. You will count, sort or weighs incoming inventory to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices. Examines stock to verify quantity and conformance to specifications. Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock. Keeps records of materials issued and labor hours.

  • Verifying quantity and quality of inventory
  • Allocating storage space for incoming goods
  • Using forklift to move inventory
  • Assisting with physical inventory
  • Creating and maintaining records
  • Reporting for work regularly and on time
  • Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel)
  • Use of barcode scanners
Preferred skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of work history driving a forklift.
  • Must have basic mathematic skills and be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
  • Perform basic math operations with common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and compare similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
  • Ability to write simple sentences, series of numbers, names and addresses.
  • Must speak, read and write fluent English.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft office).

Other Skills

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate various machines, such as: calculator, PC, telephone, fax, copier, scales, tape measure, caliper, electric pallet jack, forklift
  • Must be able to obtain a Forklift Certification.
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to analyze and investigate abnormalities for stock reconciliation.

Working Conditions

  • Inside, non-climate-controlled environment, variable workdays and hours. Overtime will be required.

Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Climb and balance.
  • Kneeling, crouching, stooping

Performance Standards Required

  • Accurate and timely movement of material and finished product to meet plant production, incoming trailers and distribution schedules consistent with company safety and work regulations.
