Inventory Control Assistant: The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) was established in 1974 to better respond to the County's need for affordable housing. HOC is authorized to acquire, own, lease, and operate housing; to provide for the construction or renovation of housing; obtain financial assistance from any public or private source to assist its housing activities; and arrange for social services, resident services, and daycare. Job Description: This position is responsible for assisting in managing our inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting, as well as delivering materials and appliances through Montgomery County Examples of Duties:
- Receive and stock appliances, and maintenance parts.
- Pull requisitioned items from shelves, verify the accuracy of the work order form, and distribute or deliver to the correct staff person.
- Enter inventory requests into the WTS software for tracking.
- Place accurate stock numbers on received items.
- Take orders via email and complete the transaction in Yardi.
- Maintain a clean stock room and warehouse.
- Maintain shelf stock in proper order and with current counts.
- Fill out the checklist for needed parts to be ordered.
- Deliver materials and appliances through Montgomery County.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience:
- At least one year of experience in stock room and inventory control is required.
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma/equivalent.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- The ability to build and maintain a clear and organized workplace.
- The ability to communicate clearly.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to lift items to stock the shelves with.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
