Candidates must have experience driving the reach truck and cherry picker, and experience with the inventory control process.This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.   • Will rotate weekends until they get a weekend shift set up. Will work one day each weekend - so good OT initially
  • Need good email communication skills
  • Will be working on a Pad/tablet device
  • Needs clerical like skills - DE, able to enter in Excel
  • Work will be given to the Lead... the Lead will need to delegate it the staff
  • Lead will keep the staff accountable and help when it is needed. - so may have to go on the forklift if needed
  • Direct the staff and coach them in terms of work
  • Know the process of documenting if there is any issue with a staff member
  • The Lead manages the work, not the people directly
  • Overall responsibility is assisting with the management of inventory by tracking inbound and outbound shipments, finished goods materials, packaging supplies, etc. required in the warehousing and distribution of customer products.
  • Responsible for cycle counting, researching inventory discrepancies and transaction history.
  • Provides accounting support regarding inventory issues.
  • Direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to assure activities support facility goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or 2 years equivalent experience
  • 2+ years previous experience with inventory, wave planning or other similar experience within a warehouse environment
  • Previous leadership experience helpful
  • Ability to work independently as well as be extremely effective in a team environment
  • Previous experience with PIT (for example: order picker, forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, and/or pallet jack)
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude that sets an example for others
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and be able to set priorities effectively
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Ability to follow procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to read and write effectively and have strong communication skills
  • Effectively operate computer systems and all required customer systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows etc.
  • Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs
  • Assist with the development and management of the facility cycle count program
  • Assist with the development and management of the inventory recoup/repack/recycle program.
  • Assist with physical inventory
  • Provide floor support to Warehouse Team Leads and hourly employees regarding inventory issues
  • Cross train in other areas of the facility as needed
  • Provides support to the Warehouse Planner Coordinators and others to assure the warehouse and office is working in unison to provide 100 percent customer/client satisfaction for all shipments and receipts
  • Maintain daily and/or monthly reports that are established to measure daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's. Organize and file all paperwork daily to ensure ease of access
  • May be required to operator machinery to complete tasks (for example: order picker, forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, and/or pallet jack)
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by product and location
  • Be a positive influence on and assist with the development of employees. Assists Supervisor with performance management
  • All customer/client accounts must be given proper priority levels that allows for required level of operations, administrative support, appropriate contacts, and response to special requests
  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety. Follow all safety and security regulations and company guidelines
  • Complete all safety training within the specified timeframe, applying all appropriate actions.
  • Utilize all tools and equipment as trained to do so, stopping when unsafe, utilizing employee's Stop Work Authority

  • Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job. Overtime may be required
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
