**Responsibilities**

Job Description:

As the Inventory Control you will be working for JPL's Mechanical Fabrication and Test Section which maintains technical support facilities and resources that provide the services required to fabricate, assemble, and test electro-mechanical developmental and flight hardware. This Section develops and matures equipment and technologies, which enable and enhance our fabrication and environmental test capability for current and future missions.

Will support the day-to-day operations of Metal Stores.

Order, receive, and stock consumable cutting tools, raw stock, and flight fasteners for section and lab operations.

Perform cycle counts to maintain accuracy of stock and prevent stockouts.

Perform impromptu assignments as necessary.

May be asked to support a second shift as needed.

**Qualifications**

Required Skills:

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Driving (a government issued vehicle) is required for this position. Must have a valid California drivers license, a clean driving record and successfully pass a DMV check.

Typically requires a High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; Associates degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; related required training.

Cutting tools used in machine shops

Precision measuring tools to include micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, etc.

Metal cutting saws

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook.

Inventory control

Desired Skills:

Inventory control experience

Tool crib setting experience

Strong people skills

Oracle computer program experience
