**Inventory Control Specialist**

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all purchase order creation, inventory control, warehouse organization and accurate movement and tracking of materials. The ideal candidate will have prior experience setting up ERP systems, inventory auditing and handling serialized inventory.

**Responsibilities**

* Creates and tracks all purchase orders, resolves all issues in a timely manner with vendors and ensures product is received on time for project install dates

* Establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with critical suppliers, understanding where economies of scale can be achieved and develops alternative sourcing methods for business-critical components

* Monitors current internal price structure on all products and maintains master price list for the organization

* Implements, monitors, and maintains inventory best practices and process control for inventory control, picking, packing and warehouse management

* Support corporate efforts to standardize the Bill of Materials process, partner with Product Managers and other key roles to maintain data integrity and process improvement

* Audit, record and track all inventory from warehouse distribution to end destination

* Play an active role in the design and implementation of new system rollouts

* Identify the developmental needs of others in understanding the Inventory process and provide the coaching required to achieve positive results

* Develop, implement & maintain Inventory instructions, policies, and procedures

**Essential Work Experience, Qualifications and Skills**

* Extensive knowledge and experience in Inventory and Procurement Processes

* 5+ years proven experience in inventory management

* Proficient in procurement systems and current industry standard PC applications, particularly Excel

* Demonstrated flexibility to successfully deal with competing priorities

* Demonstrated high-level problem-solving ability

* Excellent communication and liaison skills

* Proactive and solutions driven

* Proven ability to manage deadlines and budgetary limitations

* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask and prioritize.

**Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities**

* Prior experiencing setting up ERP systems

* Setting up effective Cycle control count processes and bar code set up

* Loss mitigation

* JIT and MRP methodologies

* RMA processes

**Physical Requirements and Work Environment**

* Position holder must be able to consistently lift over 50 lbs and bend/reach for tools and equipment

* Work site may require ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces

* Willingness to travel if needed
