Job Summary:

Inventory Control Manager, plays a crucial role in managing the flow of equipment in and out of facilities. Focus will be on ensuring quality control and loss prevention while managing inventory through an inventory control software.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a trainer, instructing warehouse staff on software functionality and best practices for inventory management.

Supervise all aspects of inventory management and control, including stocking, re-ordering, and order fulfillment.

Monitor expendable inventory levels to determine the need for stock replenishment.

Track inventory flow, conduct stock scans, and reconcile inventory records.

Coordinate tasks with floor operations personnel to ensure objectives are met.

Utilize scanning terminals and fixed asset tracking software to monitor and regulate shipments to and from the warehouse.

Logistics:

Work with Sales and Department Operations to communicate changes in production, freight delays, and shortages.

Coordinate the supply of equipment to clients, ensuring complete orders and timely delivery/pickup.

Assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating drivers, trucks, and equipment movements.

Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound equipment, including damaged and unreturned items.

Record daily deliveries and shipments

Shipping and Receiving:

Track and monitor incoming shipments, including non-freight parcels managed through FedEx.

Coordinate logistics.

Receive inbound equipment and disperse it to respective departments.

Rental and transfer orders, including order creation, prep initiation, and inventory tracking.

Maintain shipping manifests and ensure accountability for rental equipment.

Other Responsibilities:

Coordinate with venue and client contacts for the retrieval of missing equipment.

Collaborate with department heads on stock and overall warehouse operations and projects.

Assist in resolving gear shortages via vendors or substitutions.

Negotiations with vendors to ensure profitability margins.

Assist warehouse manager, providing support as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

Working knowledge of Rental Software preferred

Warehouse Experience

Knowledge of Lighting, Audio, Video, and Rigging Equipment values preferred.

Two years of experience in the production industry, with demonstrated management abilities

Experience working in the live events industry is highly desirable.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to build relationships with vendors and co-workers.
