Inventory Control Specialist - GIOVANNI FOODS : Job Details

Description Giovanni Food Co., Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist who will be responsible for various activities to ensure accuracy of raw material inventory. An employee working in this area is expected to operate as a member of a team, which includes assisting one another as needed. The start time for this role is 10:00 AM, and runs approximately 10 hours, Monday through Friday with the occasional Saturday. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Control inventory accuracy of ingredients, product, material and supplies by participating in physical inventories and maintaining/documenting inventory records; verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and helps adjust errors.
• Stage raw ingredients per production needs on a daily basis.
• Maintain organization of the warehouse and stock.
• Assist warehouse department with projects as needed.
• Run cycle count reports; Follows up with the Department Managers as necessary to review discrepancies on the cycle count reviews and inventories. Prepares and issues cycle count projections and adjustments to the Management Team.
• Monitor and adjust stock levels on an ongoing basis to maintain proper levels of inventory.
• Compile and document all inventory transactions for data entry.
• Operates lift trucks, forklifts, scissor lift and motorized pallet jacks while observing standard lift truck operation and safety rules.
• Maintain housekeeping, GMP's, and safety within the facility.
• Responsible to check, complete and /or sign all appropriate paperwork and documentation.
• Serve as back up for warehouse forklift operators as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements Job Requirement Previous experience:

• Strong math and excel skills required.
• Previous experience in Inventory Control Required.
• Previous experience working with scanning and an ERP preferred.

Education Requirements High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Physical Requirements:

• Must be mobile and be able to travel/navigate throughout the facility. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to read documents and use equipment.
• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with internal and external contacts.
• Must be able to occasionally climb, stoop or kneel to perform routine tasks within the scope of the job.
• Must be able to grip/grab objects.
• Must be able to work in environments that may include, but are not restricted to, cold, heat, wet, humid, draft, fumes, or various combinations of same.
