GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position will work in SAP to ensure all daily production information is accurate, and that all inventory is properly accounted for. This role is responsible for communicating with the warehouse and ensuring proper segregation of holds as they identified and will work to ensure shipping records are accurate. The inventory coordinator will be the point of contact for other Lakeside plants and warehouse for all inventory needs and will responsible for ordering packaging materials when needed (such as pallets, slip sheets, pallet wrap, totes, etc.). When not in production, the inventory coordinator will work with accounting and operations on receiving of purchased parts, equipment, etc. to ensure all materials ordered by PO are received and properly accounted for.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Inventory tracking of stock in and out of warehouse of packaging materials and semi-finished goods.

* Assigns carriers and schedules appointments for loads going out forward warehouse.

* Helps with creation of Bill of Ladings, and ensures proper transfer of goods in SAP system

* Enters information in Genco systems for carriers.

* Assists forklift drivers in warehouse if there is a problem shipping or receiving a load in.

* Communicates with other plants to coordinate what stock is needed and when product is needed.

* Works with Packaging Center to manage inventory at 3rd party storage facility.

* Orders all packaging materials from vendors

* Schedule can delivery with vendors.

* Responsible for maintaining inventory of packaging materials, such as cans and ends

* Assists with year-end inventory

* Troubleshoot scanners, computers and printers.

* Assist in keeping variance report.

* Assists with data entry and maintenance functions of SAP

* Handle Employee Sales, coordinate sale, orders, distribution of product at plant and reports.

* Completes all UPS shipments

* Interaction with invoicing and accounting departments.

* Daily production upload and inventory adjustments.

* Assist QA Manager in product grading entry and reconciling hold product daily.

* Assist QA manager in managing hold inventory and releasing of hold inventory

* Monitor releasing product from quality inspection status

* Responsible for receiving all plant purchased goods (parts, supplies, ingredients, etc.)

* Ensure all shipping and warehousing procedures are followed

* Report any safety concerns to management.

* Keep warehouse/dock area clean and organize

* Assist in training seasonal production employees on proper procedures in production tracking for SAP

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge:

* Experience with SAP (Preferred, but not required)

* Knowledge in computers, printers and scanners

* Possess knowledge in warehouse operations, including clerical and shipping

* Detail minded

Language Skills:

* Ability to effectively communicate to employees, managers, vendors, etc.

Mathematical Skills:

* Ability to add, subtract and multiply units.

Reasoning Ability:

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.

* The employee frequently is required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

* The employee is occasionally required to sit.

* Will frequently require lifting up to 35 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.

* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be occasionally high.

SAFETY:

* Follow all safety policies and procedures.

* Report all injuries within 24 hours.

* Report all unsafe conditions and unsafe acts to the supervisor immediately.

* Take an active roll in the daily safety and participate in the plant safety committee.

* Data to be tracked by supervisors and submitted to management.

* Set positive example by wearing PPE and following all safety policies.

* Complete the incident analysis form including the cause and possible preventions within 24 hours.

* Enforce all safety policies and inform management of all employee safety discrepancies.

* Safety training of all new seasonal and full time employees
