The incumbent coordinates inventory control reports weekly and monthly cycle count and inventory transaction scores, research, and reports root causes of inventory discrepancies to ensure inventory is accurate. Participates in physical annual inventory audit. Reviews invoices for accuracy and codes to correct accounts. Tracks spending for Capital projects. Backs up Inventory Clerk. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Great people skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to do mathematical calculations.
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills to create spreadsheets and reports.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control functions.
  • Must possess good communication skills to deal with outside vendors and inside departments.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Possess a basic understanding of an ERP software system.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned by the Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Fully participates in all company Safety and Continuous Improvement programs. Works safe at all times.
  • Will review invoices in Basware for accuracy and code to correct account(s).
  • Will track spending for Capital projects.
  • Responsible for implementing and training on procedures to assure the accuracy and integrity of BPCS perpetual inventory system.
  • Reconcile inventory between BPCS and Accelos systems.
  • Reconcile all finished goods transfers to the distribution center.
  • Will make all adjustment transactions to reconcile shop orders using BPCS and Accelos.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data and prepare reports for cycle count meetings.
  • Attend all cycle count meetings to review all cycle count quantities, reoccurring location, and total cost of adjustments.
  • Organize and participate in annual physical inventory audit.
  • Research and report root cause of inventory discrepancies and adjustments. Assist with ideas or plan for corrective action as needed.
  • Will back up Inventory Clerk.
  • Maintain files as outlined in the Huhtamaki Retention Policy.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
  • College Degree with emphasis in accounting or supply chain preferred or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing facility.
  • Working knowledge of Inventory control and production planning
  • Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems.
  • Working knowledge of DCS, HMIs, PLCs, I/O, VFD's, Sensors, etc.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing IT, industrial networks and applications
