JOB TITLE: Inventory Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Reliability & Maintenance Manager
SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm or 7:00 am -3:00 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8 - 9 hours within this timeframe)
STARTING PAY: Approximately $55,000 - $60,000; flexible based on proven expertise.

What You Will Be Responsible For: - Manages the day to day receiving and inspection of materials and parts, to ensure accuracy and quality of parts.
- Handles the storage and material locations, as well as the organization and supply of materials and tools based on frequency of use, to ensure accurate inventory and part availability for the projects.
- Coordinates pre-staging of parts/materials based on the project schedules to keep maintenance projects on-time.
- Executes regularly scheduled cycle counts to ensure accuracy and integrity of on-hand inventory.
- Reviews inventory variances to determine root cause and provide management with recommended solutions.
- Evaluates current inventory processes and implements new techniques to improve efficiency.
- Manages applicable software data entry and updates to ensure accurate part and inventory information.
- Reviews history of maintenance projects and partners with team members to establish ordering thresholds, timing, vendor selections, part validations, pricing, etc. to ensure consistent value in cost and quality.
- Coordinates with vendors on material issues to ensure corrective actions are being taken or alternative sourcing is being arranged for the highest quality products at a reasonable price.
- Operates a clean and organized environment to ensure accuracy and safety within the area.
- Coordinates spending thresholds with the manager to maintain departmental budget goals.
Work Environment / Physical Demands: - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning.
What You Will Need: - Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; may consider equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience in maintenance, materials or stocking areas.
- Experience: 3+ years of maintenance and inventory experience in an industrial, construction, or mechanical parts industry preferred. Will consider someone with related experience in equipment parts coordination or related stockroom associate roles.
- Certifications: Forklift/Lift Certified is a plus; will train if needed
- Functional Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial equipment parts, inventory processes including entering, receiving, variances and cycle counts; high attention to detail, data entry, accuracy and time-management skills; excellent ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task; strong math skills; able to read and understand processes, specifications, and procedures. Solid research and problem-solving capabilities.
- Technology Skills: Solid MS Office required with strong Excel skills; industrial inventory software skills preferred.
- Communication Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills required to work with various levels in the organization and with vendors.
- Leadership/ Behaviors: Strong focus on quality, thoroughness and accuracy; excellent ability to build and maintain relationships to collaborate with team and vendors; strong customer focus; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities; quality of work and safety-minded.
