Also responsible for picking and packing of customer orders, following standard, departmental procedures and supplemental instructions included on the order document. All work follows generally arranged routines, with supervision being readily available.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for continuous inventory cycle-count and yearly physical inventory as neededIdentify and validate discrepancies and disposition them appropriately.Analyze discrepancy patterns and determine root cause using S4 HANA and Excel.Communicate issues and solutions to management team on a regular basis for immediate improvementCompare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of ladings, invoices, orders, or other recordsPick and pack product for domestic and international orders ensuring contents are accurateUnload truck for inbound shipments, ensuring that material is received in satisfactory conditionReport defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorSort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequenceOpen crates and other containers, to then move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areasProcess shipments, prepare bill of ladings, and schedule pick-ups via FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other carriers per instructions included in customers orderRoutinely enter and extract data from the appropriate computer system/softwareAdhere to warehouse quality control guidelines and standardsDrive forklift in a safe manner, ensuring loads are stable and secureMaintain an orderly work environment by ensuring general maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areasGeneral housekeeping which includes sweeping, dusting, and moppingMaintain an organized and secure work environmentSupport co-workers in other departments as neededInform Manager of all noteworthy activitiesFollow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and proceduresAuthorityN/AJob Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of packaging methods and ability to determine packaging requirementsAbility to compile datasets into Excel spreadsheet to troubleshoot issues, report trends, and validate corrective action.Ability to follow standard work instructions; be reliable and punctualAbility to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines, maintain a flexible attitude and approach towards assignments, and maintain level of organization in a changing and fast paced environmentGood command of the English language, both written and verbalAbility to comprehend a variety of instructions, both oral and writtenGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals; capable of understanding weights and measuresBasic knowledge of word processing.Strong knowledge of computerized inventory systemAbility to operate fork lift trucksExperience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirableSAP experienceAbility to operate telephone, copier, fax machines, and other general office equipment
